This artwork was a collaboration between Nafisa and Josh at the Lalela Zeitz Mocaa after-school program. Nafisa began the year bullying other learners, however, we noticed that the more important roles we gave her, the more of a leader she has become.
Josh is a young boy with boundless energy and a great presence in class. A few months ago, his brother was tragically shot. Josh lost concentration and drive. Slowly, through the work at Lalela and his art, Josh has been able to work through this extremely difficult time.
